The University of Arizona, located in Tucson, touts itself as one of the country's premier student-centered research institutions. As a matter of fact, it has earned a place among America's top 20 research institutions. Fields of study are extremely diverse, with students choosing from about 150 undergraduate and more than 200 graduate degree programs offered through 18 colleges and 12 schools on three campuses. The school attracts approximately 37,000 students annually.

Arizona is home to two cooking schools: the Arizona Culinary Institute and the Scottsdale Culinary Institute, both in Scottsdale. The latter is associated with the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu training program and offers courses in Culinary Arts, Patisserie and Baking, and Hospitality and Restaurant Management.
