The University of Arkansas, with its main campus in Fayetteville, is the most widely attended institution of higher learning in the state and according to U.S. News and World Report, it's in the top tier of universities nationwide. The Princeton Review also ranks it among the top 300 colleges in the U.S. Bill and Hilary Clinton both sat on the faculty of the School of Law in the mid 1970s, and the NFL's Pat Summerall is one of the school's most famous alumni, having played for the school's Razorbacks. The university's Little Rock campus is home to the School of Medical Sciences, and you'll find other campuses in Pine Bluff, Monticello and Fort Smith.

Arkansas is also home to many religious-affiliated institutions such as Henderson State University and Hendrix College (Methodist), Lyon College (Presbyterian), John Brown University (Christian), Central Baptist College, Williams Baptist College and Ouachita Baptist University.
