While Idaho may not be the first state on your list when it comes to finding a college, winter sports enthusiasts will certainly love this state which offers excellent skiing all year long. Resorts are a short drive from most of the major cities making Idaho an ideal place to spend an extended winter break. Idaho State, in the southern town of Pocatello, offers courses of study in arts and sciences, engineering, business, pharmacy, health professions, and teacher education. On the campus of Idaho State, you'll find the Idaho Museum of Natural History, home to fascinating anthropology, paleontology, earth science and life science collections.

The University of Idaho is in Moscow, near Idaho's border with Washington. Founded in 1889, this is a mid-sized university with an enrollment of about 12,000 students. Approximately 140 undergraduate degree programs are offered at the university's nine colleges, which includes a College of Law. Moscow has been named one of the U.S's. 100 best small arts towns, making UI a great place for performing and visual arts majors.
